Earthquake Shakes Southern California

4.4 Magnitude Quake Reported

A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck Southern California on Monday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The quake was centered in El Sereno and occurred at 3:50 PM PT.

There have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries resulting from the earthquake. The USGS reports that the temblor occurred at a depth of about 8 miles and was felt as far as 30 miles away.
